At a short ceremony, the School of Veterinary Medicine has received a microscope and Theriogenology Diagnostic Equipment through funds provided by the 1963 year group of the University of Guelph, Canada.
The Dean of the School, Professor Paa Kobina Turkson, welcomed participants and expressed gratitude to the visiting scholar Dr. Bill Bosu and his colleagues for presenting the equipment, which will aid teaching and research.
The immediate past Dean of the School, Professor G.K Aning, gave a brief history of the School, and extolled Dr. Bosu’s expertise and international recognition in his area of specialization. He commended him for volunteering to develop the teaching of Theriogenology at the School.
On his part, Dr. Bill Bosu gave a detailed account of the mission of the School and how by benevolence his colleagues contributed to the purchase of the equipment and books for School.
Before handing over the equipment to the School, Dr. Bosu demonstrated the uses of its various components, which include a teaching microscope, Calf Puller, Electro Ejaculations, Lamb and Pig Puller, Detorsion Rod and Chains.
