HEALTH AND SANITATION COMMITTEE OF EAST GONJA RECEIVES MEDICAL CONSUMABLES FROM GHAMA OF USA
Six boxes of assorted medical consumables and surgical items were received today by the Health and Sanition Committee of East Gonja as a donation from The Ghana Association of Madison (GHAMA), a group of Ghanaians resident in Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin in the United States of America.
These consumables were donated upon a request by Alhaji Inua Yusuf, Chairman of the Health and Sanitation Committee, for the Salaga District Hospital.
The representatives of GHAMA who presented the items indicated that this was part of their humanitarian services. They said they were confident that the items would reach the hospital and be put to good use for the benefit of the people of East Gonja.
Prof. William Bosu, Dr. R. Addai-Mununkum and Dr. Agodjo Edoh-Jagah constituted the team of three from GHAMA who presented the items. The Health and Sanitation Committee was represented by Alhaji Inua Yusuf, Rashad Mahama, Yakubu Wusamah, Lukman Bakari and Samira.
On behalf of the people of East Gonja, Rashad Mahama thanked the Executives and Members of GHAMA and assured them that the items would be sent to hospital soonest, and that they will be used for their intended purpose to improve health delivery in the hospital.
